Starbucks and Sandy City community members came together with Real Salt Lake’s Luis Silva to give the kids at The Sandy Club, “A Safe Place for Boys and Girls” an unforgetable holiday experience.
Volunteers donated clothes, gloves, hats, scarves, and coats as well as their time and talents to provide games and crafts for the members of The Club. Starbucks donated prizes, food, and cocoa for the kids who were all too excited for the cake pops and cookies!
Luis Silva donated his skills playing soccer and his signature to give raffle winners one of a kind memorabilia!
The Club also received as surprise visit from THE GRINCH! He retold his epic tale of Christmas hate turning to Christmas love while giving the kids candy canes and oranges for a special holiday treat!
What wonderful experiences we were given here at The Club! Thank you for a wonderful holiday season!
The holidays are here and the Sandy Club loves this time of year! We’ve got the decorations up in the room and the tree is shimmering in the lobby!
With the holidays also comes an outpouring of community support and this year we have received SO SO much! We have tons of volunteers, multiple families receiving Sub-4-Santa, a large donation of shoes from Jordan Credit Union & Kohl’s, pajama’s for our members, and SO MANY TREATS!!!
We are so excited for the holidays and want to say, “THANK YOU AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS”

As the holidays approach, we as the staff and administration of The Sandy Club felt it was good to give our kids a chance for reflection and fun! So, with the wonderful help of Costco, we were able to give pie and whipped cream to all the kids and have a magician, the wonderful Lance Nielsen, come perform for the kids! Our kids also took some time to write down what they are thankful for. What a special day it was to hear the kids laugh, play, and enjoy this wonderful time of year. We hope you take time to reflect on what you are thankful for as Thanksgiving come this week.
With the holidays coming, The Sandy Club, “A Safe Place for Boys and Girls” becomes a focal point for families in the area who need assistance. This time of year also leads to a HUGE influx of individuals and groups who want to help and donate items.
This year, we are looking for:
- *Brand New* Winter Coats (XS-L)
- Underwear (Unisex XS-M)
- Socks (Unisex XS-L)
- *Brand New* Sweatpants and Sweatshirts (All sizes)
We cannot accept used clothing–however, we can refer you to groups and organizations that can use such donations.
We are SO grateful for the love and support we receive this time of year. Thank you and have a wonderful Holiday Season!
